Splaying out their white feathered fans, junior Esta Kamau and senior Natalie Lashly perform “Sisters” from “White Christmas” as part of their “Scenes and Songs” cabaret. The Performing for Musical Theatre and Foundations of Acting classes, alongside solo actors, spent the week of Dec. 11-14 preparing for their performance. “I really liked watching the students work [and] be able to be seen by an audience and see their growth over the course of the semester. My goal for them is to be proud of themselves,” theater teacher Amie Gossett said.
Hands brushing down her dress, senior Maddie Gregorio performs a scene from “The Glass Menagerie.” Gregorio performed alongside senior Austin Schneider. “My favorite part was being able to experience it with people at different levels. There were some people who had been in plays [or] other shows before and people, like me, who had never been onstage before, but we were still experiencing it together and we were all just as nervous,” Gregorio said.
