Racing to the ball, freshman Molly Bailey and her opponent swim without hesitation. Bailey joined water polo for the first time this year, and although the sport has proven to be difficult, she has persisted. “Water polo is a sport that has pushed me physically. At the start of the season, I asked myself why I was there and why I decided to sign up for it in the first place,” Bailey said. “But as the season progressed, something about the sport kept me wanting to play more and more. I love the people, the competition and the game.”

During Red and Blue night on August 27  the boys’ Cross country team came together for their first race of the season. Before racing against each other, the team captains divided the teammates into red, white and blue teams. “My teammates definitely motivate me to get better, whether its through giving encouragement or making plans to train together,” senior Dawson Ren said.  “Im really glad to have such awesome teammates, and Ive grown really close to them. Racing with them is another joy, because we can spur each other on during competition.”
