Brazier’s seventh season pin earned her the win against Parkway Central at the Parkway Invitational. "Wrestling is not as terrifying a sport as people say it is; it gets easier as you get older. Get Ready to Wrestle

Strapping his colored anklet, freshman Joshua Rohan gets ready to wrestle against Parkway Central. Wrestlers were assigned red or green anklets corresponding to bracelets worn by referees who held up the arm of the scoring athlete. "Putting the anklet on indicated your match was starting in a few seconds. It was nerve-wracking at first, but after a few matches, it got easier,” Rohan said.

True crime viewership is increasing, with one out of three Americans watching it at least once weekly. It’s time to start paying more attention to how much time we spend viewing true crime because the adrenaline it causes can easily become an obsession.

Always looking for a new adventure, Chemistry and Physics teacher Allison Privitt goes canyoning for the first time. Canyoning involves navigating a mountain stream using a variety of techniques. “That’s the scariest thing I’ve ever done, it’s the craziest thing I’ve ever done, and I’m doing it again this summer,” Privitt said.

Racing to the ball, freshman Molly Bailey and her opponent swim without hesitation. Bailey joined water polo for the first time this year, and although the sport has proven to be difficult, she has persisted. “Water polo is a sport that has pushed me physically. At the start of the season, I asked myself why I was there and why I decided to sign up for it in the first place,” Bailey said. “But as the season progressed, something about the sport kept me wanting to play more and more. I love the people, the competition and the game.”

At the St. Clair girls tournament, sophomore Brooklyn Eddy takes on her opponent from St. Charles High School. Eddy joined wrestling for the first time more than halfway through the season and managed to obtain three pins for beating her opponent. “Wrestling is different from everything you ever do in your life. When you’re on the mat, you have to leave everything there, and you have to fail to succeed,” Eddy said.
