“I do varsity cheer for school, and stunt for Cheer Athletics. [Being a sophomore on varsity] has been fun to get to know all of the upperclassmen, and just being close with them, also learning new skills that I didn’t know [before]. [Sometimes it is overwhelming] balancing school and cheer because I don’t have a free day. The only day that I’m free is Saturday, because I have cheer [practice] every single day of the week, [but] doing my assignments in school helps because I don’t have to spend a lot of time outside of [school]. Sometimes it’s a lot, but cheer has become such a big part of who I am, so it’s worth it.” – Ellie Philippi, 10
