Accepting the 2018 Founder’s Award from Principal Jeremy Mitchell, senior Daniel Loaney reflects on his experiences at West. The Founder’s Award is given to the student who best exemplifies what West students stand for: good character, academics, school spirit and is the highest school honor. “I was overwhelmed, it was a surreal moment to look out and see four years of my life had gone by. I’ve loved this place, and being here,” Loaney said. “It really meant a lot to me to see how I have impacted the school. I wanted to make the most of my time here at West so to be recognized was surreal and overwhelming.”

Congrats on the award. I received the same award in 1994.
