The Paweshi 2012-2013 yearbook received the First Class Honor Rating in the National Schoclastic Press Association critique. The book received two marks of distinction in coverage and writing/editing. Editor in-Chief senior Megan Reilly works on the 2014 yearbook. “This year I’m going for a more sophisticated look,” Reilly said.

Swimming the 100-meter butterfly, on Sept. 25, junior Tommy Christensen earns a 54:56. Christensen and his teammates practiced every afternoon for two hours. He also worked out before school for an hour each Tuesday and Thursday and three-hour on Saturdays. “I don’t mind the time,” Christensen said. “I like the competition, the people in swimming and the coaches, too. It’s fun for me.”

After 15 years, freshman Emily Wind questioned why she had never participated in competitive sports. Wind decided to take a shot at it. She made swing on the JV and varsity field hockey team. “People talked about how great it was to be on a team, and I wanted to be apart of that bond team’s seem to have. I think right now I’m ready to commit and be apart of one,” Wind said. “It’s making me work harder than I ever have before. And I’m getting very tan in the process so that’s a plus.”
