Surrounded by fellow scientists, sophomore Samuel Huang smiles from the explosion of dry ice on Feb. 11. After helping each other hold onto the pliers and pipette tightly, the group was able learn about the phases of an element through a hands-on experiment. “We were all helping each other out during this experiment, and being able to have fun really helped us learn. Getting to experience things [I’ve] never done before [was special]. [Mr. Anderson], our teacher, had to go out of his way to get supplies for this, and I really appreciate all of the opportunities we’re given,” Huang said.
