Lifting a box of canned goods, sophomore Liam Mouser loads into the van a fraction of the 4,906 cans donated during the Feed the Herd campaign with the Parkway Food Pantry. This year, the Social Studies department competed with the English department as students brought in cans to support Parkway families, and teachers offered rewards such as extra credit or a movie day to motivate donors. “I donated last year, so I wanted to [help out] again. I got extra credit for [donating] 15 cans, and it makes me happy to help people who need it. It’s nice to know I did a good thing,” Mouser said.
