Advocating through art, junior Ava Buehler paints the face of a little girl in a mural for her Challenges to Democracy class. The mural was a representation of the educational inequality women in Afghanistan faced. “I hoped people would see the mural and realize how privileged we were and how there were many areas in the world where people didn’t have the rights that they deserved,” Buehler said.
