Sister of senior Madi Foppe, Kennedy Foppe, tapes paper hearts to her window to form a rainbow of hearts. She came up with the idea after seeing people share rainbows and wanted to incorporate hearts to represent love and kindness for healthcare and essential workers. “We enjoy [art] but we don’t get to do it a lot. During quarantine we have definitely gotten to do more,” M. Foppe said. “We had an idea to create a rainbow of hope out of hearts to spread hope and love during these uncertain times.”

Parkway Food Pantry Social Worker Jess Buettner delivers Thanksgiving items to families in need Nov.19. Approximately eight schools in the Parkway District rallied around to help with this event. “All the things that you think of in your normal thanksgiving dinner we include so that it’s a little less that families have to worry about,” Buettner said.

Set on the line of scrimmage, senior Chris Atkinson and his fellow Longhorns face off against Oakville Sept. 6. “Because we’re playing for the Mayor’s Cup and it’s our senior night, throughout practice we’ve been a lot more in it and focused,” Atkinson said. “We’re really confident for tonight, and on a scale of one to 10, we’re a nine. It's going to be a fun game, but it’s just sad that it’s senior night.”
