Senior Thomas Andersen competes against his friend, senior Andrew Ahrens from Parkway Central High School, in varsity track meets. Andersen met some friends in club track over the summer who he now has friendly competitions with. “It's really just us battling it out at those meets, but it's really fun and there's no bad blood between us. We always talk trash before and after races, but it's all friendly rivalries,” Andersen said.

Teaching behind a clear shower curtain, biology teacher Sally Soulier focuses on teaching her students while maintaining social distance. Soulier suffers from hearing loss and had difficulty hearing students through their masks. “It is so hard to get to know people without their faces, and students likewise can’t see me smiling,” Soulier said.

Going over her music, junior Ellie Moriarity takes notes from a Jan. 25 Jazz Choir rehearsal. Moriarity’s favorite day of the week was Monday because she got to see her friends, Jazz Choir teacher Brian Parrish and make music with them. “My favorite part about Jazz Choir is hearing the final product. I enjoy listening to jazz music, and listening to a song that I am actually a part of is really cool,” Moriarity said.
