Before warming up for the junior varsity race, freshman Clara Plass and juniors Sophie Pellegrino and Katharine Segrave eat snacks and talk about their goals for the race. Although this was most of the team’s last race of the season, it was Plass’ first meet after transferring to Parkway West. “I felt good [with my race] and did as well as I could with the training I had. It was good crossing the finish line knowing I did what I wanted to do. [Joining the team], everyone was really inclusive and did not make me feel like an outsider,” Plass said.
