Holding up trophies after the District competition on March 8, sophomores Kent Robinson, Peter Petev and Tanya Esmiel and junior Julia Li are celebrated as the Speech team’s four national qualifiers. To support the students, alumni from the team came to the tournament, where five Debate team members also qualified for Nationals. The students will now prepare for the National Forensics League National Tournament scheduled for mid-June in Dallas, Texas. “Ultimately we are trying to relay a message,” Julia Li, Duo Interpretation champion said. “It helps me to connect with more people.”
