The varsity field hockey team lost 2-0 to Lutheran South on Tuesday, Sept.10.
“Mina, the goalie, saved 22 shots on the goal,” sophomore Grace Colbert said.
The varsity boy’s soccer team beat Troy 5-0 on Tuesday, Sept. 10.
Seniors Chandler Klemm and Nick Klemm were responsible for all goals scored.
“Every player had a chance to get some playing time on the field which was really neat. Also, this was Nathan Talbot’s senior spotlight game and he played goalie,” sophomore Matt Pilgrim said.
The varsity softball team played against Parkway Central on Wednesday, Sept. 11.
“I scored a double, and everyone got to play which was exciting. Also Katie Eickman pitched a great game,” sophomore Brittany Davega said.
Girl’s volleyball defeated Nerinx Hall Wednesday, Sept. 11.
“We won two games in a row not having to go to three, with a final score of 25-23. It was a great victory,” senior Maddy Quoss said.
The varsity football team lost 32-7 to state champions, Kirkwood, on Thursday, Sept 12.
“The atmosphere intensified as the game progressed because of how well we were playing against the reigning state champions. Early into the third quarter, our confidence was boosted after wide receiver, senior Arturo Romero scored on a 45-yard touchdown pass,” sophomore Bobby Connor said.
The girl’s cross-country team placed twentieth out of 40 teams on Saturday, Sept 14 at Forest Park.
“We did very well individually and even competed against a girl from St. Genoveive who broke a National record for the 5K. Her time was 16:48,” sophomore Rachel Osborne said.
