Preparing for the scrimmage to begin, junior middle linebacker Luke Ward helps junior defensive lineman Tommy Mohan practice his defensive skills during Red and Blue Night. The varsity team started off their season with the jamboree, where they competed against Fort Zumwalt, St. Charles and Westminster. “The scrimmages are always fun. The first scrimmage felt rough, and like we were too slow, but by the third, I think the rust and butterflies were knocked off, and the team looked good,” Ward said. “Sportsmanship was high, and we got out with no significant injuries. Overall, it was a great way to kickoff the season.”
