In Honors English I, with teacher Michelle Kerpash, freshmen Justin Li, Kevin Chen, Andrew Yazdi and Alec Zhou sing an original song to the tune of Hall of Fame, by the Script, during an “American Idol” performance. Students created songs that related to the text they read in To Kill A Mockingbird. “We needed to find a pop song and relate the lyrics to the book, then we had to perform it. It was pretty fun because it was better than writing an essay,” Zhou said.
