![Blending harmonies with dynamic control, senior Spencer Rahm takes the stage as part of the jazz choir's spring performance. Jazz Coffee House took place on April 22, marking the culmination of months of preparation by West High’s musicians. “To me, [choir] is an opportunity every day to get to sing with my friends and work on our songs that we have concerts for. [Seeing] the results after working together with people is really rewarding. Jazz Coffee House concert was a reflection and a result of all the hard work we've put in the last three months,” Rahm said.](https://pwestpathfinder.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/DSC_0214-3-1200x800.jpg)

![Standing in front of a crowd, senior Molly Glisson performs one of her five solos in the Jazz Choir concert April 25. Glisson performed in the Jazz Choir all four years and enjoyed hanging out with her team members outside of school. “Jazz is such a special genre to sing, and I enjoy[ed] doing it a lot. Being able to sing such a fun style with such fun people [was] my favorite part of being in this group,” Glisson said. “[Being a senior brought] a sentimental feeling [to the show] just because I have been singing so long, and it’s coming to an end so fast. I’m sad but also thankful for the opportunities I have gained from being in this group and the people I have met.”](https://pwestpathfinder.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/DSC_7440-copy.jpg)

![Senior Braden Jensen sits on the stairs of his Jazz Choir classroom Nov. 19, his last day of in-person school for the semester. Jensen preferred in-person classes because it was easier for him to learn in a school setting, especially for choir. “Singing through a mask is pretty interesting because you had less air to breathe in and the sound that came out could be kind of muffled,” Jensen said. “[But] with [choir] it was much better to sing with each other in-person.”](https://pwestpathfinder.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/DSC_0006-1-900x600.jpg)
