Suffering the loss of their leading scorer, Lee McMullin, and two other seniors, Jan Gagstetter and Natalie Fries, varsity girls basketball is facing a shift in the team dynamic.
A new nearly billion-dollar stadium proposal was announced for St. Louis to rival Rams owner Stan Kroenke’s plan to move the team to Los Angeles, CA. St. Louis fans started to believe that the Rams will not only be around for years to come, but they will be playing in one of the most extravagant stadiums in the NFL.
Freshman Chris Bass has run nearly every event in boys track and had numerous victories, all leading up to how he became the team's Rookie of the Year.

May 2, junior Caroline Bias and the St. Louis Rowing team took first place in the Regatta, a rowing competition that took place in Indianapolis. Their team raced against six different regions in the Midwest.

I wouldn't say I was the best teenager, but I learned very quickly in high school to always be forthcoming and honest with my parents because it always ended up serving me better in the long run. ![In the 1950s, the first recorded spikes in global temperatures were recorded, and ever since, Earth has been in the midst of a disastrous climate crisis, as rising temperatures wreak havoc on susceptible regions and destroy animal habitats worldwide. Junior Nidhi Pejathaya helped found West’s Sustainability Council to create a space where students can educate themselves about climate change and do their part to preserve the environment. “When you're going out of your way to recycle [or] reuse your clothes to save water, you're saving people. You're saving adults, you're saving families, you're saving children. You're saving a whole generation. ![“I’m the vice president of the Muslim Student Association (MSA), the co-president of the Women in Healthcare club, and [am also in] of ABC club, NHS first aid, the diplomacy club, and other volunteering activities [in my community.] My main goal in these clubs is to be actively engaged in the school and give back to the community. [Through these opportunities,] I’ve learned to be a better organizer and planner, especially with my roles in MSA and Women in Healthcare. I think these skills will be valuable towards the career path I choose. I’m particularly interested in the medical field, which is why I co-founded Women in Healthcare. As a freshman, I was the chief financial officer of the Muslim Student Association. This year, I’m the vice president. ![Beginning in the 2023-24 school year, Parkway discontinued study halls throughout the district. Concerned over the consequences it may have on their academic success, several students and teachers have spoken out against the elimination of a necessary tool. “Kids aren't abusing study halls to sit there on their phones or something. They might need [more support].
