We heart Brach’s Tiny Conversation Hearts
Brach’s Tiny Conversation Hearts are colorful bite-sized little hearts to make your Valentine’s Day even better. These little hearts are manufactured in Mexico and only cost $3.29, they can reach anyone who wants to feel a little Valentine’s Day cheer. Although these sweet little treats have been around for 60 years, they still find new ways to brighten our days every February.
In an attempt to relate with today’s youth, Brach’s Conversation Hearts now sports some new phrases. From social media lingo like, “DM me” – to “TTYL” The Brach’s company is broadening its marketing pool. However, these messages don’t portray a real understanding of internet culture as they’re just general phrases. We wouldn’t be surprised if the advertising team simply skimmed the first page of Google for ideas.
With six different flavors, yellow sticks out like a sore thumb. Its “banana flavor” tastes more like fluorine teeth lining applied by dentists. On the other hand, pink is the stand-out favorite, these cherry-flavored hearts reminded us of bubble gum, and are perfect for the sweet feelings of Valentine’s. Resulting in them being our highest-scoring hearts.
One of the best things about the hearts is their presentation; their iconic look is seen everywhere during Valentine’s season. However, in real life, their iconic quips are off-centered – some even going off the hearts. Despite all their faults, the packaging and hearts carry the same bright, colorful and love-filled aesthetic. Unlike the look, the smell of the hearts is quite bland.
Overall, Brach’s Tiny Conversation Hearts are adequate Valentine’s gifts. While the taste and smell are mostly underwhelming, the presentation can’t be beaten. While they didn’t steal our hearts, we still give the conversation hearts a solid 8/10.
