The relationships that she holds closest to her are what inspired senior Kenzi Sampson to get a tattoo of three stars on her ankle.

Sampson’s older sister Hayden represents the big star because she is the oldest. Her best friend, alumni Lily Rahm is the middle star and Sampson represents the little star.

“My sister and I thought it would be cool if we got one together,” Sampson said. “We love stars so we both got a set of three. I got the tattoo because no matter where you are in the world, there’s always stars and no matter where each of us are, we’ll always have each other.”

Waiting until Rahm had turned 18 the three went to Threshold tattoo in St. Charles.

“The experience was really cool too. It’s not something you do everyday,” Sampson said, “It’s really meaningful because it will be with me all the time and because the people closest to me have it so no matter what we’ll always have a part of each other.”
