Reagan Vierling
Senior Reagan Vierling always takes time out of her week to go to her church’s youth group, along with the Mountains and Valleys club. In addition to these, Vierling is the leader of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
“I am very passionate about [these activities]. I struggled with being able to find friends who would support my decisions and encourage me to do good,” Vierling said. “Sometimes you have to go out of your comfort zone to stick up for yourself and that’s something I learned quickly and was able to begin doing.”
Vierling created stronger connections with her mom during this stage in her life. Through giving advice, Vierling’s mom always encouraged her to do her best.
“I’ve been able to find who my true self is as well as who my true friends are and what is important in my life,” Vierling said. “[To my freshman self], take time to figure out who you are. Do things that you enjoy and don’t let anyone force you to do something you don’t want to do.”
