Hannah Lumpkins
Senior Hannah Lumpkins says she created good connections with her friends and teachers through high school to become more comfortable in her education. During all spirit weeks she attended in person, Lumpkins helped build the float for homecoming.
“I would say those after school hours trying to create something fun for the school and really bonding with some of my peers has been the most fun,” Lumpkins said.
At first, the change in workload from middle school to high school came as a shock to Lumpkins. Eventually, with good organizational skills and studying techniques, Lumpkins got into the groove of high school.
“I would say to be more outgoing and not be as fearful for what other people are going to say. My freshman year, I was a little hidden and enclosed because I was afraid of being in a new school,” Lumpkins said. “Step out of your box, this is an experience for you as well. You shouldn’t have to follow what everyone else says.”
