Senior Ale Calvo intended on traveling to Asia to visit Thailand, Vietnam and Cambodia in July; however, the trip was canceled due to COVID-19.

“Instead of traveling this summer, I mostly spent my time at home. I’m lucky enough to have a pool so I spent most of my summer there,” Calvo said. “It was difficult to make the best out of summer without being able to go out and travel, but this summer I focused a lot on having fun with my family and my close friends.”

In addition to not being able to travel, Calvo and her family took advantage of alternative ways of living and made modifications to life at home to avoid contracting the virus. 

“My family and I have been ordering food, groceries and other essentials through Amazon or other delivery places,” Calvo said. “We don’t have to go out as much but we can still enjoy our favorite foods.”
