Celebrating an 18-8 victory over Lafayette May 9, the varsity boys baseball team cheers on sophomore pitcher Tyler Purdum for hitting two home runs. Along with the win against Lafayette, the team made history May 1 by winning their first conference title in over 15 years. “[The win] is a big boost going into districts this weekend,” junior outfielder Parker Adams said. “We’re confident because we just beat [Lafayette], so hopefully we’ll be able to win the district title and move on the the state tournament.”
