Judd used her own money to purchase her equipment and uses her own time to take and edit photos. “I’ve invested lots of money into camera equipment and editing software that you can’t get at school,” Judd said. “I understand that that isn’t a priority for the school, but it’s hard when you want to follow a career that isn’t typical or STEM focused because you have to put so much time into outside of school while also balancing your schoolwork.”

The varsity cheer squad volunteers at Delmar Gardens every Wednesday night to help the residents play bingo. “It was really good to have conversations with the residents,” Ware said. “They told us that when we come it makes their days, and that throughout the week they talk about how much they enjoy it.”

Bendle worked in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) while Wilson volunteered in the Outpatient Surgery Unit. “The most rewarding part is actually seeing the how the nurses and surgeons are able to take a patient, perform surgery on them, and help them in a way that they couldn't do themselves,” Wilson said. “Seeing the way patients are so happy when they find out the surgery went just as planned and that they are on their way to a successful recovery is so outstanding.”
