Serenading her class to the tune of “Dynamite” by Taio Cruz, junior Olivia Owens makes her debut appearance as a member of the Jazz Choir. Owens has been a part of the choir program since her freshman year; last year, she auditioned and became one of 16 students selected as a member of the prestigious performance group. “It was nerve-wracking to perform in front of the whole school, but it was fun. It takes a lot of practice, but my confidence comes from the support of my group, my teacher and knowing that everybody's there for me,” Owens said.

During the second module of the first ac lab, Principal John McCabe introduced himself to the student body and shared his school expectations. “The cheerleaders led us in some of the schools favorite cheer, and my friends and I wanted to be the loudest. It was fun to be back in the gym with the whole school,” Caudill said.

Starting the senior men’s cheer dance with the haka, a tribal dance performed in Polynesian ceremonies, senior Brayden Eddy leads the group. Eddy and fellow senior Nolan Barbre taught the group the haka in order to get them excited about the pep rally. “I went to a football camp in Utah where I learned it, and it was cool to lead it because Nolan and I have always wanted to do it in front of people,” Eddy said.
