The Longhorns traveled to Parkway North High School for their week seven matchup on Oct. 10. Being their hardest matchup at this point, it would take dedication and success from every single player in order to secure a victory. The Parkway North Vikings opened up the game with a touchdown, followed by a field goal to put the Longhorns in a 10-point deficit. Usry cut the deficit down to three to round out the first quarter. The third quarter saw another North touchdown, followed by a field goal. Without losing hope, the Longhorns saw the start of a comeback and scored a touchdown in the fourth quarter. Unfortunately, a dropped pass ended the game in a 14-19 loss for the Longhorns. Although a loss is never ideal, it took unneeded pressure off this group and proved that this team is by no means perfect.
