The Longhorns pulled out a surprise victory in their first game of the season on Aug. 18, scoring 22 points in the last quarter of the game against the Parkway South Patriots.

Working on the wheel, junior Maddie DeClue molds a ball of clay into a bowl. Many people participate in Clay Club in order to have time to work on personal artistic projects. “Clay club was really cool because an art class didn’t fit in my schedule, but I still wanted to be able to create art,” DeClue said. “I was attempting to make a pot out of clay. I didn’t have a specific shape in mind, which was the cool thing about Clay Club, there wasn’t a set structure.”
