Gazing across the audience, junior Maarja Lember poses as Wendy’s pediatrician in “Lost Girl.” Lember came to Parkway West as an exchange student this fall, and has found opportunities for continued growth and expression in the theater program. “I love giving feelings to the audience [by] playing with different characteristics and emotions,” Lember said. “One of the biggest things [I like] about [West’s theater program], is that our theater teacher [Ammie Gosset] loves what she does and gives us all of [the energy] she has to give; she wants us to be successful and she wants this play to be successful. After doing [“Lost Girl”], I [saw] how professional West is. They take theater seriously, and I like that because it gives me more to learn from.”
