For many students, finding a cozy cafe to study, hang out with friends, or simply enjoy a good drink has become a pastime. One of the newest and most talked-about cafes in the area is Qahwatea Coffee, a bright and modern cafe known for its aesthetically pleasing presentations. Although Qawatea Coffee is mainly popular for its matcha and fruit desserts, they also offer other items on their menu, such as coffee, milk cakes, cake pops, and honeycomb bread; as well as non-dairy items like refreshers and mojitos. After trying a few signature items of theirs, we decided to judge our visit based on price, appearance, taste, and atmosphere.
Price
When it comes to pricing, Qahwatea Coffee leans a bit more on the expensive side. Two items, a drink and a pastry, came to a total of $21.25. While the prices reflect the cafe’s quality ingredients, it may not be a regular option for students looking for something budget-friendly. However, for those willing to splurge occasionally, it would be a nice treat.
Design
Visually, Qahwatea Coffee doesn’t disappoint. The interior is spacious and filled with natural sunlight that streams through large windows, illuminating the decor. Greenery and potted plants soften the setting, making it feel modern. Comfortable seating options that range from booth chairs to window-side tables create the perfect atmosphere for study sessions or conversations.
Taste
We ordered some of their popular desserts and drinks: the mango matcha, the lavender matcha, the raspberry mousse dessert and the mango mousse dessert.
The mango matcha was a 10/10, not too sugary, with a smooth texture and no bitterness from the matcha. The mango flavor was perfectly balanced, enhancing rather than overpowering the earthy matcha.
The mango mousse was slightly firm on the outside but revealed a soft filling inside, earning it a solid 8.5/10.
The lavender matcha was good; it had a rich taste with a slight hint of lavender, giving it a refreshing floral flavor, boosting the score to a 9/10.
The raspberry mousse dessert had a thin chocolate outer layer and a smooth mousse layer, which paired nicely with the raspberry jam and cake inside, deserving a 10/10. Balancing sweetness and texture, this was definitely the highlight of the visit.

Atmosphere
Beyond the food itself, Qahwatea Coffee’s atmosphere adds to the experience. The cafe has a calm and welcoming vibe that draws people in. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The hospitality, combined with the cafe’s serene atmosphere, makes it an ideal spot for both productivity and leisure.
Overall, Qahwatea Coffee perfectly balances aesthetics and authentic flavors. While the prices are steep for regular visits, the experience, from the presentation to the atmosphere, makes it worth it. If you’re looking for a new place to hang out or study, Qahwatea Coffee is definitely worth the stop.
