The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention announced on April 6 that about 108.3 million people have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine, which includes about 63 million people who have been fully vaccinated by Johnson & Johnson’s single-dose vaccine or two-dose series made by Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna.

In Missouri, all people above the age of 17 are eligible to register for the vaccine. As vaccinations expand in Missouri, many establishments are offering discounts and freebies with proof of vaccination. Read below to see what different establishments are offering.

Free Donuts

At Krispy Kreme, you can enjoy a sweet reward with your visit. Beginning March 22, Krispy Kreme stores offer a free “Original Glazed” donut to anyone who can show their COVID-19 Vaccination Record card. Just simply drive down to your local Krispy Kreme and show them the card, which you can do every day for the duration of 2021.

Free Rides

Food isn’t the only reward that comes with vaccination. Companies like Uber and Lyft are offering free or discounted rides from and to COVID-19 vaccination centers. Simply schedule an appointment at your local Walgreens or CVS, and you’ll get the offer for a complimentary ride and pick to both on-site and off-site locations.

Paid Leave

Even employers have been accommodating those who get the vaccine. Several companies like Target, Dollar General, Aldi, Best Buy, Darden restaurant franchises, Trader Joe’s, and Krispy Kreme have been offering up to four hours of paid leave for employees who are receiving both doses of the COVID-19 vaccine. Check with your employer to see if your establishment offers a similar leave policy.

Card Lamination

It’s becoming increasingly popular to get your vaccine card laminated. The card provides essential information for future employers, schools, and certain travel companies. While a vaccine card is required at most establishments, if you want to protect it Staples, Office Depot, and OfficeMax are both offering free vaccine card lamination. Before you get your card laminated be sure to check these things

If you are vaccinated against COVID-19 and thus have protection against the more severe effects of COVID-19, make sure you take advantage of all the opportunities that come with your vaccination. While there may not be many available offers at the moment,  more may start to roll out as the number of vaccinations increases.
