Pathfinder: What high school did you go too?
Herpel: I went to Brookfield High in Brookfield, CT.
When did you graduate?
I graduated in 2004.
What was your least and favorite subjects?
My least favorite subject was English. My favorite was Science.
What was different now then when you went high school?
Cell phones were not a big deal; I would put my cell phone in my locker and forget about it.
What type of car did you drive?
I drove a 1996 Green Saturn, the interior was beige color, the previous owner was a smoker so the interior near the roof was sagging down because of all the smoke.
Did you have an after school job?
I worked as a custodian. I made $12 an hour. The worst thing I had to clean was a dead bat in a classroom.
What is your favorite high school memory?
My favorite high school memory was the pep rally’s they were really fun. We had to make a five-minute skid for pep rally.
What activities in school were you involved in?
I was involved in soccer, editor in chief of the school yearbook; I was in interact club, which was like a community service club, NHS club, and Spanish honors club.
If you could change high school would you change?
I would play music over the intercom during passing period.
What is something that your high school did differently then what Parkway West High School does now?
Our school for graduation would have us drive five miles an hour and we would have a parade from the middle school to the high school.
