McCluer North High School.
How was high school similar or different to high school now?
I would say it was the same in the fact that there were cliques and different friend groups; however, I would say they were more inclusive when I was in high school. Also, we did not have all of the technology back then that we do now, so it is completely different in that aspect.

I was a part of the poms team. I really enjoyed being a part of something bigger and feeling important because we had the uniform, and we performed in front of crowds.
What is the funniest thing that happened during high school?
One year for our pep assembly, the senior boys dressed up as the Beach Boys and pretended to dance, sing and play music to their songs, and it was so much fun! Our pep assemblies were something that everyone looked forward to unlike here, where everyone just wants to get called out.
What was your opinion of your high school principal? Why was she memorable?
Ms. Graham was fantastic. She was very approachable; she was the kind of teacher that would talk to us in between classes. You always felt like you were able to just say ‘Hi’ or have a conversation with her.

Did you have an after school job?
I worked at Happy Joe’s Pizza and Ice Cream. On some Saturdays, I would dress up in a clown costume and serve pizza and ice cream to the kids. I loved the job but did not work there for very long. After that, I was a cashier at Schnucks.
What type of car did you drive?
A Smurf-blue Volkswagen Rabbit – I loved that car. I did not get it until I was about 17 or 18. Before that, I shared a car with my parents. When it finally quit working, I was sad to see it go. It was not that it was a nice car, but that it was my own car.
