Standing with his special olympics buddies, sophomore Charlie Hummel prepared to help run the torch at the beginning of the event. Being buddied with freshman Luke Whitten, Hummel enjoyed spending the day with his new friend. “Running the torch up at the beginning with Luke was really exciting. He was really excited and he ran really fast, he easily out run me,” Hummel said.
