Lobbying at the State Capitol in Jefferson City, junior AJ McNamee, Isabel Steinmetz, Grey Ferber and Lauren Arthur, the representative for District 18 Clay County and North Kansas City, work with a group called Teen Advocacy for Sexual Health, TASH. Their goal was to get House Bill 670 passed, which required Comprehensive Sex Education in schools that is not abstinence based. “It was really empowering,” McNamee said. “ I’m so glad I got the experience to take part in the legal process, and I’m especially excited to go again in March.”
