Standing in front of the George Washington Palace, Publications Adviser Debra Klevens, sophomore Ritoma Ganguly, junior Sarah O’Beirne, junior Bailey Rathert, senior Kappy Pille, juniors Megan Barton and Katie Hornsby and Photography teacher Katy Mangrich start off the city tour. “We ended up at Mount Vernon because our bus driver thought we were on a tour with another school but that was not the case,” Mangrich said. “It was fine that we ended up there. There are better places to visit in Washington, D.C.”
Walking arm-in-arm with Bob, the bus driver, senior Kappy Pille heads back to the bus after touring the mansion of George Washington. “Bob asked if anyone had something in mind of where they wanted to go and with the idea from Mrs. Klevens, I raised my hand and said, "DC cupcakes!!!" He laughed and said that he would try to make that happen. Throughout the trip as we were getting on and off the bus he would say, "Don't think I forgot about your cupcakes!" Which just made me smile and understand how sweet and down to earth he is,” Pille said.
