Homecoming can be one of the most stressful times for girls and guys, although it may be for different reasons. Girls are worried about who will ask them; and guys, how to ask a girl. But the most stressful aspect for girls can be finding your dress. There’s so many things to worry about: whether it be what style dress to buy, finding shoes to match, or, the most nerve-wracking finding a dress that no one else has. In the event another girl has your dress, you can style yours the right way and no one will even notice your accidental twinning.
For starters, a solid- colored dress is the easiest to customize. If your dress is a neutral shade, go for a belt or statement necklace that will add a pop of color. However, if the dress you chose is brightly colored, opt for a neutral printed belt like leopard or zebra design. If you’re bold enough, you can even go for printed shoes.
Speaking of shoes, there are hundreds of options! Not only is there just color to choose from, there’s texture, style and heel length. As far as color goes, choose any color that works well with your dress. For instance if you have a black dress use any bright color like pink or blue for the shoe color. But with texture you can have leather, patent leather, suede and many more. Style and heel height go together because if you want a regular heel there’s pumps, peep toe, strappy, booties and more. However, you could just as easily go for flat sandals or wedges.
After that just add a cute clutch and a few more accessories and you’ll be good to go! Once your done personalizing it’ll look like a totally different dress: which means no more jitters about whether or not someone else has your dress. Happy Homecoming, and remember to stay classy!
