Brad Wallace introduced as new Band Director

After teaching at Parkway West High School for 10 years, band teacher Ben Pyatt told principal Jeremy Mitchell that he would be resigning to be with his wife and kids in Tampa, FL.
At the home football game on Friday September 11th versus University City, the band played pep songs before and during the game and performed at half time. "Marching into the stadium in the beginning of the game was fun, but also a good workout for my back and shoulders. I play the tenor, which is 5 heavy drums, and when is hitting things with a stick not fun!" said freshman Justin Cupps.

Junior CJ Schrieber plays the drum set for his jazz band, Cosmic Latte. Schrieber has played drum set in West High marching band shows since his freshman year. “I’m going to try to write more concert band things that are less percussion-oriented,” Schrieber said about his percussion-centered compositions.
