Upperclassmen experience exchange

Junior Tina Tang and senior Anna Worpvik spent the last three months on foreign soil, learning about and experiencing the American culture firsthand during their exchange periods. Tang will be here for a first semester; while Worpvik will be here for the full year.

They lined us up on risers and since I’m short I got to sit in the front," Knop said. "Very nonchalantly one of the doors opened and the president walked in."

Boy Scout summer adventures

These three West High scouts travelled the country and the world to experience what Boy Scouts had to offer over the break. Life Scout freshman Ryan Mound began his summer with a trip to the sunshine state while participating in the High Adventure Sea Base.
Senior quarterback Megan Loaney used the "wrong ball" play during Powderpuff, and scored a touchdown, but it did not count. Later, she received a text from referee Tom Herpel apologizing that the play was fair and should have been counted. [Maret Welby, 12]
