Focusing in on her canvas, sophomore Natalie Butler uses her still life to create a detailed kitchen scene. “It was our first oil painting of the class. We were just getting used to using the oil paints and mixing them to get the right consistency,” Butler said. Butler enrolled in Painting as a prerequisite for A.P. Art Studio. “I want to build my portfolio, so I can do art in college,” Butler said.
