With the first game of baseball season just weeks away, the team has set up two fundraisers in which students and families can help support their team.
The first of which is a Trivia night on Saturday, March 9 at the Trinity Lutheran Church on Clayton Road. The tickets are available for $25 per person and walk-ins are welcome. There will be first and second place prizes, as well as a raffle. Beverages will be provided, but it is encouraged to bring your own appetizers, munchies and desserts to share with your table. The doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the games are set to begin at 7:00 p.m.
The second fundraiser is a percentage evening at Bandana’s barbecue on March 11 from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. at 14141 Manchester Road. Tickets, which are available for free in the main office, will be needed in order for the proceeds to count. A percentage of the total proceeds will be donated to Parkway West Boys Baseball at the end of the night.
“We’re not quite sure yet where the proceeds will go, but we have been talking about a new scoreboard, renovating our batting cages and general upkeep of our facilities,” Head Baseball Coach Aaron Hickman said.
To contribute; all you need to do is buy barbecue or head out to a trivia night. These fundraisers are key in stability for the program, and student involvement is much appreciated.
