As the football season came to an end, the football teams gathered at Trinity Church on Nov. 19 to celebrate the season end. The varsity, JV and freshman teams took part in the end of the season banquet.
“It was fun because the whole football program came together to celebrate, winning and losing,” freshman Evan Shukers said. “I thought it was really awesome that our coaches were seen in school and on the field. Our team came together so well.”
The varsity team was the only one to receive awards. Senior Ryan Demuri won the “Best All Around” awarded by his teammates. “It was such an honor to be captain,” Demuri said. “It’s my favorite sport and it’s the last time I got to play with my friends.”
The banquet served chicken, beef and pasta with broccoli, chicken salad and cake.
“The food was alright. It was a lot better last year,” sophomore Brian Ingberg said.
The banquet lasted from 6 to 8 p.m.
Next season will begin with camps in June and tryouts and practices in August.
