Accepting the prize, Mike Keehnast receives the Light of Parkway Award in 2019 from the head of the mailroom, Diane Barnes. Keehnast had just finished his last route of the day when he was astonished by the honor. “I was not surprised that he won the award. Mike has done an excellent job for Parkway for many years and I was glad that his hard work was finally recognized,” Barnes said.

McCoy loved working with Spark! students because she thinks the students are what makes the program special to her. “It has been fun and inspiring to see how they evolve through the year each year. I've been so impressed with the way the students put themselves out there to network and build connections with mentors and others who can help them in the business community,” McCoy said.

Any current Parkway student, kindergarten through 12th grade, is eligible to apply for a Dream Grant. Grants of financial support of up to $250 are awarded, as well as grants of community resources and/or alumni support.
