Sixteen requests, four alternates. For years, students have logged into Infinite Campus to register for the following year’s courses. While the registration period has passed, several new courses have made their way onto 2022-23 schedules. Students can still contact their counselors for schedule changes. The new classes cater to student interest, covering anything from music, media, or contemporary issues. Students can find new courses that suit their needs.

![Blending together a concoction for a science experiment, science teacher Joel Anderson scares his students by bringing excitement and thrill into his classroom for his annual Halloween show. It took about six weeks for Anderson to set up his classroom for the show. “It’s pure terror. I came up with this idea a couple decades ago to do something fun for Halloween. So I pretend to be this mad scientist [that creates] a Frankenstein-like creature [with the class], learning a little bit of science along the way and [then ending] with a laser show. What is your favorite book? Recently, I really liked "We Were Liars"
What motivates you? I really want to be a good role model for my younger sister and show myself that I made it. My sister and I were both so worried about our futures and whether or not we could do well in school, that we put lots of pressure on ourselves. I want to prove to her that a little hard work can take you farther than you think and show myself that everything I have done and continue to do it worth it.
