“Why did you originally move to Australia?”
“My dad was needed as an emergency room doctor there, so he took that job. It was really excited to move because I wanted a new experience outside of St. Louis.”
“How long did you live there?”
“A year and a half.”
“What was your favorite part of living there?”
“I loved the weather because it is always warm there. I also liked that the beach was only ½ a mile away.”
“How did you feel once you got there?”
“When I first got there I was in seventh grade there and not in the U.S because the grade system is different. I was different because their slang is very different, like a water fountain is a bubbler and mashed potatoes and sausage was bangers and mash.”
“Were you sad to move back to the U.S.?”
“Well after a while I had gotten homesick so I was happy to come back and see my friends and family, even though I loved Australia.”
