After the cancellation of their original trip to Colorado, the band decided to travel to Branson, MO for performance and leisure on April 25.
The band headed to Silver Dollar City to enjoy the rides and shops after they arrived.
“Silver Dollar City was definitely my favorite part of the trip. I really enjoyed the rollercoasters, and I rode each one several times. My favorite was probable Outlaw Run because it had really high drops,” junior Nathan Winderl said.
On the next day, after a trip to Branson Landing, a shopping strip, the band went to the Shanghai Theater to perform as the opening to the Acrobats of China show.
“We did well as a band, even though a lot of students were missing because of prior commitments. For such a small band, our performance was really good,” freshman Leah Egan said.
Following their concert, they watched the Acrobats of China perform.
“The acrobats were so cool, and the performance was incredible. They were so young; the youngest kid was actually only 11 years old. My favorite performance was one where several guys jumped through these really high hoops that were stacked on top of one another,” Egan said.
The band spent their final day at Branson at the Track Family Fun Park.
“I enjoyed the bumper cars and go-karts at the park. My main struggle was hating rollercoasters, but the trip was fun overall,” sophomore Crystal Luo said.
