The Varsity girl’s volleyball team lost 25-17 to state champions, Lafayette, on Tuesday, Sept. 17.
“Lafayette is ranked 13th in the nation; it was a tough competition. Although we lost, we all hustled for every point possible, and gave it our best,” sophomore Abby Algeyer said.
The Varisty boy’s soccer team defeated Seckman 2-1 on Tuesday, Sept. 17.
“This was a very close game. We were tied 1-1, and finally won in double-over-time with an amazing header goal by senior Dan Barlett,” sophomore Collin Basler said.
The Varsity girl’s field hockey team lost 7-0 to Marquette on Wednesday, Sept. 18.
“It was a difficult opponent, but we played well,” sophomore Kathryn Harter said.
The Freshman football team won 19-6 on Monday, Sept. 16.
“Kirkwood is one of our rivalry teams, but we worked and played very hard throughout the whole game, which earned us a great victory,” freshman Clay Bierk said.
The Varsity girl’s tennis team lost to Clayton in Tuesday, Sept. 17.
“Stephanie Quoss and I played doubles together. Even though we lost, after every point- win or lose, we still came together and rejuvenated ourselves for the rest of the match,” sophomore Vericia Pearson said.
