Jenn Sebold is the new junior class principal. She was born and raised in St. Louis and has been a principal for six years. “The students, parents and staff have all made my transition so easy. I love the way West puts students needs first, and I am very happy here,” Sebold said.
Before becoming an administrator, Sebold was an English teacher for 11 years, and is now in her seventh year as principal. She taught English at McCluer North High School for ten years until 2007 and then moved onto Assistant Principal at Rockwood Summit for the class of 2011 for three years. From there Sebold went to Marquette and served as Associate Assistant Principal for the class of 2015.
Besides being a Principal, Sebold also served as a former Cheerleading Coach and Student Council Sponsor.
“I really loved all the enthusiasm that surrounded going to state competitions. My favorite memory was seeing the Marquette students show up to the Mizzou Arena for a final four basketball game,” Sebold said. “We had over 1,000 students show up and cheer the team on. We didn’t even fit in the student section at the arena. There was so much energy at school leading up to that! I will never forget the chants, the t-shirts and the sight of students coming together as one community!” Sebold said.
Sebold also enjoys spending time with family on their boat and going camping.
“I really just love doing anything outdoors and anything adventurous,” Sebold says.
Traveling is another hobby. Sebold also enjoys going on cruises; her family has gone on eight so far together and plan on going on two more this year.
Sebold said she has never received such a warm welcome at a school as she did when she entered West.
