Riding a 10-12 record, the girls volleyball team faces the end of the season and upcoming district games.
“I think we can win. We have strong individual skill, but we need to come together if we want to do well in districts,” senior Sophie Baker said .
The team is finishing the season strong, winning 5 of their last 6 regular season games.
“Although we have suffered multiple injuries throughout the season, we have fought and played hard as a team to get where we’re at now,” senior Natalie Ellis said.
Without recording a win until their fifth game, the Longhorns overcame some adversity, while also working with two critical season ending injuries to both junior Abby Lathrop (leg) and junior Maddy Quoss (shoulder).
“The team camaraderie is important. We’re all good friends on and off the court, which definitely helps us win games and handle losses” Baker said.
With seven games left in the regular season, the team looks to capitalize on their recent success and win as many games as they can.
