Softball finished their season 13-9 making it their first winning season in over 5 years. They came in fourthplace at the Suburban South/West tournament and finished tied for secondin the Suburban South conference.
“We are excelling this year compared to past years and it’s cool to have a winning record,” senior Amber Jones said.
The team lost their first district game 6-10 to Francis Howell North to be knocked out of the running for state.
“We were really looking forward to playing in districts and maybe state but we still did good,” Jones said.
The team had their best record in five years and coach Jeff Chazen is hopeful for the future.
“We have all but 3 seniors returning for next season so we are expecting big things in the upcoming seasons for the program,” Chazen said.
